I was deferred from UNC Chapel Hill and I was wondering how I look going into the second round of admissions…

I’m a little worried about my mid-year report 4 A’s, 3 B’s due to severe illness in second quarter, but I mentioned this in my midyear report
@flywheel1010 GPA is good, but test scores are on the rather low side of the spectrum for UNC, and EC’s are ok but nothing incredible or noteworthy. Seeing as how UNC only re-admits around 10% or less of deferred applicants, it is best to move forward to look into attending another school and hope your luck pulls through. It will likely depend on how they view all these factors in addition to your essays, LORs, and other supplementals.

It states in pertinent part the following from the Admissions Office: “We ended up offering admission to 4 percent of deferred students last year and 10 percent the previous year.”
This language strongly suggests that the statistical likelihood of your acceptance, although not impossible, is very remote.
