I made a chance me post about 3 months ago in this forum but it had a lot of errors so I redid it, plus I’m starting to get really nervous about my admission decision because it’s so close!! Here are my stats:

Essays and LoR are good, I worked with an essay counselor and my rec letter is from a teacher who I am really close to.
If anyone could chance me I would greatly appreciate it!!
Academic stats are there and quite stellar, but remember they are for nearly every UNC OOS applicant. I really think your EC’s are quite basic and don’t entirely show commitment over time (Did you quit some senior year?) So many other applicants can claim they were in NHS, did French Club, church youth group, etc. to get into UNC OOS; you’ve got to have hooks that make your app stand out, and frankly this looks like the profile of another average high-stat student. I’d consider UNC a Medium-High Reach for you. While you are academically qualified by all means, you have not done anything stellar outside of high school hours with your extracurriculars. Maybe your essays and LOR’s can help but again, UNC OOS is just so competitive, worse than some Ivy League colleges. Many liken acceptance to UNC OOS to winning the lottery because its so difficult. I really just think think your supplemental aspects are too average here. Hard to see how this catches the eye of UNC-CH unless maybe your recs and essays stand out.
I think it will depend on your essays and LOR. Good luck!
