<p>I was wondering if you think I could get into University of Michigan out of state and if I could get any merit aid.</p>

<p>Curriculum: All advanced and AP including AP French, AP English Literature, AP English Language, AP US History, AP European History, AP Government, AP Economics, AP Calculus BC, AP Chemistry, and AP Biology. </p>

<p>Unweighted 4.0 GPA is a 3.7 using my school's scale</p>

<p>My school counts a 92 and higher as an A</p>

<p>Unweighted 4.0 GPA using 90 as the standard for an A I have a 3.9</p>

<p>Weighted GPA is a 97 adding 4 points for advanced classes and 8 points for AP</p>

<p>Unweighted GPA is a 93.5</p>

<p>19th out of 330 Class Rank</p>

<p>1580/2340 on the SAT</p>

<p>Very active on the debate team and I have had a fair amount of national success</p>

<p>Member of Interact Club, but I've never really gotten more than the minimum 8 hours per quarter</p>

<p>Volunteer a bit at my local AIDS Outreach</p>

<p>What I'm worried about is that I don't have enough volunteering or extracurriculars. </p>

<p>Held a part-time job as a grocery bagger since 8th grade</p>

<p>I just applied too as an international student and I am curious to know what my chances are to get in. </p>

<p>gpa: 4.0
class rank: top 10
SAT:1180 (sucks really!!!) yet i am planning to improve.
extracurriculars: Soccer: 2002-2003 beitar ramt-gan academy, 2003-2007: Maccabi tel-aviv academy, 2009-2010: Israel National youth league.
Toefl: not submitted
recs: I am pretty sure they are great! (my teachers really love me and are supportive)
Essays: excellent
Honors: 3</p>

<p>^ With that SAT score you have NO shot (is it M and V or M,V,W?) Furthermore, your an International applicant so your competition is much tougher. </p>

<p>@StanfordCS@ My scores are M- 410, W- 470 and CR- 300. I know those are realy ugly scores… this is because I didn’t prepare for the test and was totally stressed that I did not even answer most of the questions. And yes I am applying for FA, although I heard international student are not allowed to apply for FA. do you know anything about it?</p>

<p>OP has great chances, but it’s not a shoo-in. Lots of people with similar stats have been deferred this time around. Just saying.
But still, you’ll probably get in.</p>
