Can you tell me how the process and when you got the email saying you were accepted as a Microsoft high school intern? I just applied and Im nervous about the interview and other stuff i heard from! Is it true every intern gets a gift and paid?
Well first you need to get an email regarding whether you were selected for an interview.
I’m assuming you got something like this-
Hello Blankl!
Thanks so much for applying for the Microsoft HS Internship; we are excited to see your interest and look forward to following up with potential next steps. Selections for interviews will be made after our March 4th submission deadline and can expect to hear from us 2-3 weeks after the deadline.
Once again, thank you for sending us this information; we’ll be in touch in roughly a month and appreciate your patience in the meantime.
Best,
Microsoft High School Intern Program
That is the generic auto-generated one. For now be very patient. I know the anxiousness is killing you, but relax and get your mind off it. In a few weeks time they will send you an email telling you whether you get an interview or not and you can decide on a date for one.
If you get the offer that means your application was pretty good and they’re impressed. Don’t unimpress them. Come into the interview confident and show that you really want this job and that you are willing to learn and work hard. Before the interview look at basic programming questions like reversing an array, traversing loops, search and sort algorithms, fibonaci sequence, and learn not just how to them, but learn to explain them like you are explaining to a middle schooler. And yes you do get payed it explicitly says on the site.
