Chance me USC MARSHALL!

Hello everyone, I'm a Mexican student from California applying to USC Marshall for business. I've been passionate about business all of my life, as my family is full of successful entrepreneurs and it's sort have grown on to me.

Current Classes:

-AP GOV, AP Environmental Science, AP Calculus, AP Literature, Spanish 4 (AP not offered)

GPA:

unweighted- 3.4
weighted- 4.0

SAT (superscore): 2040
SAT (one-sitting): 2010

M-710
CR- 670
W- 660

Subject tests: Yet to be received..

ECs:

-3 years of cross country (MVP 2 years)
-2 years of track
-1 year of soccer (team captain and MVP)
-Science Team (2 years)

(((I'll try my best to be modest, lol, but I'm very athletic. I went to a junior high that has a military-like P.E. program which tests students in different physical tests (Sorry I cant explain the whole program to you). Anyway, I achieved "purple-trunk" status. Only 3 people in the 30-years existence of the program have achieved purple-trunk status, including myself. I played competitive soccer for most of my life. I stopped before high school to run track and cross country, but the team that I played on won nationals the following year (sucks for me lol). I was MVP in Cross Country and MVP in soccer when i started playing again Senior Year. I had to take a break from sports Junior year to focus on school (explaining my D+ in math). Therefore, I was unable to reach my full potential in any of my sports. I'm definitely interested in playing sports at USC, especially if it will increase my chances of getting in. Will it? )))

p.s. sorry if i sounded cocky =]

Community Service:

-Peer Tutor (75 hours)
-Helped send supplies to troops (20 hours)

Awards:
-Sophomore Homecoming Prince

Work Experience:

- Independent contractor for energy drink company (current)

-Letter of Rec will be "OK" because I'm at a new school and don't know any teachers very well.

-Essays will be Excellent

If it makes a difference...

I don't need financial aid. lol. okay moving on...

Notes: GPA is low because I was in the IB program for 3 years of highschool (moved to school with AP program senior year) and the classes we're extremely hard. Also I got a D+ in precal one semester but I will explain the circumstances. Hopefully this won't hurt me too much?

I understand USC is very selective, especially for business. I don't think I have very good chances, but I'd like to get some input from current students or anyone familiar with USC.

Thanks in advance, and don't be afraid to be honest =]

bumpbumpbump

i think you have a chance…definetly

good to hear lol. anyone else?

i feel like we have somewhat of a similar of a similar situation with the whole “athlete thing”… you have a great chance with your ec’s and scores, and although gpa is a little low as an URM you should have a good chance of acceptance! I think you are selling yourself a little bit short
