Chance me - UT

So i have applied to transfer to UT in for spring 2010. I graduated high school with 30 dual credit hours so I am eligible to apply. I am currently at UH and am taking 15 hours. My GPA from the DC courses is a 4.0. I sent 2 letters of rec and in my essays explained that i didnt like UH and some other medical reasons that prevented me from going there straight out of hs. I'm in phi theta kappa, deans list twice, and lots of extracurriculars. I hope to get into biomed. engineering but my second choice is biochem. (pre-med as well)

can anyone let me know what they think my chances?

and when does UT usually send out decisions for the spring?

Thanks!

Tennessee or Texas?

Spring decisions for Texas are typically sent out in November - admissions has told me anytime between now and Thanksgiving. Natural Sciences isn’t as competitive as Cockrell or McCombs, so I’d say your chances are very good, assuming they have room in your specific major (not sure how impacted they are, if at all) . I’m not sure how dual credit courses are calculated in terms of the required 30 hours to transfer, so they may wait for you to submit your final transcript for the semester in progress before confirming your admission. Have you cleared that with the Admissions department yet?
