stats for uci and ucr are fine targets, if not a bit of a safety
it depends if youre willing on paying the 50k out of state fee
also, there’s a lot of asians in the uc system, so that might hurt a bit for sd, especially being out of state
[theres a reason why UCLA is said to stand for U C a Lotta Asians]

I dont think the UC system is worth it if you live in jersey. Very good chance at boston. Have you ever thought about NYU? I’d say you’d have a good chance if you ED. GOOD LUCK! chance me back http://talk.collegeconfidential.com/what-my-chances/1229666-chance-me-upenn-ed.html#post13354396

Thanks so much, yeah I realize that the whole going to UC from NJ is odd, but I really want to start life in the west coast as soon as possible.

heartarrow: yeah i totally understand that the UC system has been overtaken by Asians, but my essay topics are about stereotypes because I didn’t grow up in an asian household. (Parents are caucasian)

davissblaine: thanks so much, i haven’t really considered NYU because i never thought i’d be able to get in there, but if you think i have some sort of a chance, thanks!
ill chance back soon

bump?
please please please!

I honestly don’t understand why you wouldn’t get into any of the colleges on your list!
you have great chances at pretty much all of those places, being in the top 25% at many of those schools and your GPA isn’t pathetic, it’s going to get you in at many of the colleges on your list…
Well the UCs give me a little bit of trouble, just because of the heavy prevalence of Asians in the system and the difficulty for OOS applicants.
But Your still so in those Score ranges, that with great essays you could very well be in with little to no trouble!
GOOD LUCK!
:)
