Hello! I’m currently a freshman at UW Tacoma. I’m looking to transfer to UW Seattle in the Summer. I applied last year and got rejected. I would like to get a BS in Psychology which is not offered at UWT.

High School GPA: 3.4
SAT: 1970
College GPA: 3.9
College Credits: 30 (50 at the end of this quarter)
Since I joined, I got an on-campus job and created a club on campus.
I have VERY clear education and career goals that were defined in my PS. I am also done with all my Gen-Ed requirements and by Summer will have completed all the prereqs for my major.
I think you’re looking really solid and have a great shot. Your college GPA is fantastic, and the job and club stuff helps a lot. Plus, given your high school GPA and SAT, I’d say that you had a pretty good shot at being accepted in high school anyway.
Keep up your GPA, keep up your activities, and possibly consider an internship or something else to further increase your chances. It’s going to come down to your major choice. I don’t know how competitive Psych is at UW Seattle. For most majors I’d say you have a great shot. Good luck!!
