So I'm broken between doing Vanderbilt ED 2 or RD. The problem is I'm not 100% sure I'll receive the best financial aid, but i'm not 100% sure I could get in RD either. I know a lot of people will say ED 2 doesn't improve chances and the admit rate is higher because the applicant pool is better. Nonetheless, my scores are 2160 650 Reading, 770 Math, 740 Writing one sitting, superscore as well. My class ranking 5/548, G.P.A. 3.8136/4.0 UW, and 5.4808/6.0 W. Took 11 AP's, all 7 Ap's in my school and 4 from online courses. I have awards in Mu Alpha Theta math competitions for regional, state, and national competitions. I am applying to their engineering school. I have chess awards from regional and international competition. I also have a national dance award. I am also a questbridge finalist if this helps with financial aid/admission. All in all everything is solid/strong except subject test where i got 620 chem, 670 math 2, and 770 math 1. I am also an IB student with all IB courses, and the most challenging courses in my school.

Hope you did ED2 but it won’t improve your chances…much more competitive pool of applicants…so in the end its really about whether you want to know sooner or later…if it is indeed your top choice. Good Luck
