Chance Me: Variety of Schools

Hi everyone. I’m reaching out for some advice regarding my chances at some schools I’m applying to. As the oldest child and first off to college, I am not as familiar with the college process, or what exactly some prestigious colleges are looking for. Any advice helps!
Here are my stats:
Female, White
UW GPA: 4.0
W GPA: 4.61
SAT: 1540
ACT: 35
Intended Major: Biomedical Engineering
Extracurriculars:
-Led a team to raise over $46,000 for the Leukemia Lymphoma Society
-Class President
-Student Intern for my state’s legislative body
-Tutor kids with learning disabilities

  • National Honors Society Tutoring Liaison
    -Math League
  • Varsity Field Hockey
  • “Varsity” Chorus Groups
-Engineering Project- designing a safe escape from schools during emergencies

Awards:
-AP Scholar with Distinction

  • Commended National Merit Scholar
    -Multiple School-Wide Awards
  • Leukemia Lymphoma Society Candidate Hall of Fame
-National Honors Societies: Spanish, Math, Music, General
-full 4-year scholarship to my private high school

Schools I am applying to:
Princeton
Yale
Brown (deferred ED)
Duke
UVA (currently interviewing for Jefferson Scholarship)
UNC
Rice
Villanova
Northeastern
Clemson (accepted, finalist for National Scholar)
UDel (accepted, honors college)
UMD

Again, I am just looking for some insight from someone familiar with the process, or any of these specific schools.
Thanks!

First, congratulations on everything that you accomplished!

Next, if you would be happy attending Clemson or UDel, you’ve got your safeties down, and you are already set, no matter what happens.

You will get into at very least one (very possibly all) all of NE, Villanova, and UMD.

As for the rest - you are at a private high school, and your GCs are the people who have the best insights as to your chances.

On one hand, private schools have good placement for “elite” colleges. On the other hand, most of that is due to the fact that their student body has a lot of hooks, especially legacy and donors. I will guess that you are neither a legacy, nor are your parents potential donors.

On the third hand (weird, right?), you are a highly accomplished high stats scholarship kid at a private high school, which can also provide a large boost. Are you first generation to attend college?

However, as I said, your GCs will know better than anybody here.

Good luck!
