It would really help me out a lot if any of you could give me any pointers to help build my application! Thanks a lot!!

Whereas no one has a crystal ball and can tell you how the admissions officers will view your application in comparison to those of other applicants, you are a viable candidate and can be proud of your excellent high school accomplishments!

Early decision is a smart move.

Of the other colleges on your list, Bard and Skidmore are most similar to Vassar in environment. You might also consider Connecticut College, which also is similar, and a good “match” level school, like Bard and Skidmore.

Your interest in anthropology might make Wesleyan worth considering as well, as another reasonable reach. Wesleyan and Vassar are quite similar in many respects.

You might consider Wheaton College in Norton, MA, or Clark University in Worcester, MA, as a safety.

Skidmore and Connecticut College need you to demonstrate interest. Do so.

Apply early action to Bard (and Clark, if you like it), and any other nonrestrictive EA schools on your list, simultaneously with Vassar ED. That will ease the blow of a deferral or rejection if either happens.

Good luck!
