Chance me - Vietnamese International Student :)

I applied Early Decision to Duke a month ago, and I don't know why today I suddenly feel like in the mood for being chanced :) so here it goes... I'll know the decision for sure in about 15 days, but I would appreciate your comments, ideas and thoughts on my chance of getting in Duke much :)

My situation is a little bit complicated: I attended a Vietnamese high school for my 10th and 11th grade (Vietnamese high school starts at 10th grade). Last year I got a full scholarship to a private high school in the United States for 11th grade, so I went and repeated junior year there. I returned to Vietnam and am now attending 12th grade here.

Recommendations: My US counselor said they were "very good".

Essays: Unique and interesting.

Chance me? :) Thank you!

I would say that you're right on the edge, so really illustrating your individuality in how you depict your extracurricular activities and your essays becomes very vital.

By the way, I only know of one Vietnamese (the Asians are strongly either Korean or Chinese) student in the class of 2012, so maybe they'd like some diversity, ;D but don't get too excited about that.

Thank you RevDem :) and by the way I am a female and am applying for financial aid. I heard only 25 international students with financial support get into Duke per year, so I'm pretty anxious.
Were the Vietnamese you mentioned Vietnamese American? Because my Vietnamese friend at Duke told me Duke has only accepted one Vietnamese so far in its history.

WOW
i'm so impressed!
i didn't even know vietnamese people in vietnam KNEW about duke university!
oh yeah im a vietnamese american btw and im applied ED
maybe we'll both get in!

I certainly do hope the same :)
