SAT/ACT for US schools?
I didnt take any SAT/ACT exams. (Its optional for Syracuse and Pratt)
Are you attending a Canadian school? If so, which province? Or a US school? Do you have a portfolio?
Yep, British Columbia.
And yes, I am currently working on my portfolio.
I currently only have around 8 pieces though
I would try to get your English mark above 80 for Waterloo. They say the minimum is 75, but competition generally increases from year to year and that minimum might not hold for this year. Make sure to pay particular attention to the AIF.
In the end, it will probably come down to your portfolio, at least for Carleton and Waterloo.
Okay thanks!
Also I’m slightly confused, but do you know when we submit our AIF? as in do we do it after we get an acceptance letter? or do we submit it along with our application?
Waterloo sends a link to the AIF after you submit your application. It’s a supplement to the application. AIF stands for additional information form. Waterloo takes them very seriously. Architecture is a co-op program, so they are looking for students with work experience, experience being involved in their community, etc. You should complete it by the end of January/beginning of February. https://uwaterloo.ca/quest/applicants/how-do-i/admission-information-form https://uwaterloo.ca/architecture/future-students
One thing to be aware of with Waterloo admissions is that they don’t send decisions until the first or second week of May for the majority of their applicants. US schools require a commitment by May 1. That means you’ll have to make a decision on the US schools before you know whether you’re admitted to Waterloo.
