Please chance me for:
UNC Chapel Hill is my number one choice and I am IN STATE!
Clemson would also be up there, although the OOS tuition will be an issue
NC State is my safety
I loved the tour of Duke and want to know if I even have a chance.

As in in state student, your odds seem fairly good, though your unweighted gpa may hurt your chances somewat (though I’m sure your school’s grading system and difficult schedule will be noted by admissions staff.) Overall, Chapel hill seems like a low reach to high match. If you could chance me back I’d really appreciate it.

With a conventional scale, your gpa would probably be considerably higher, it’s similar to mine and I have roughly a 3.7 by my school’s scale

I would expect you to be good for UNC in-state. OOS state would be a whole different ballgame, but you look to be a great candidate for in-state. NC State is definitely a safety, and Clemson would be a good fit as well. As for Duke, I’d put it as a reach. I’d recommend retaking the SAT to try and score in the 2200s for a better shot, but I’d consider Duke a low to mid reach.

Chance Back?: http://talk.collegeconfidential.com/what-my-chances/1166769-sats-so-chance-me.html</a></p>

you are in great shape for UNC in state. NC State and Clemson both look like safeties, but i agree with balling that you need to get your SAT in the mid to high 2200s for a good chance. Chance me!
http://talk.collegeconfidential.com/what-my-chances/1166662-chances-wustl-uva-vanderbilt-w-l-wake-forest.html</a></p>

I think you look good for UNC in-state; your SAT scores are all within or above their middle 50%. It’s good that martial arts is your passion. Definitely try to become an officer in Dreamstart and to make a real impact on the community with that club; that would show great leadership abilities. You’re in-state for Duke, which makes it more likely for you to get in, but that would be a high reach, in my opinion.

I think your chances a pretty good :)

http://talk.collegeconfidential.com/what-my-chances/1169076-please-chance-me-ivy-league-stanford-duke.html</a></p>

In-state definitely works, but you might have to explain why you weren’t very consistent with your ECs. A lot of things were just 11th and 12th, or you stopped in 10th. Volunteering is a little weak but martial arts is a really good thing to emphasize.
Chance me!

Thanks for all the comments.

cmjcmj12- Can you post a link to your chance thread

If you apply Early Decision to Duke, you have a decent shot of getting in; the acceptance rate is in the 30% range, I believe. NC-Chapel Hill instate should be relatively easy to get into-70+% chance of getting in-and NCSU is definitely a safety. Clemson I’m not too familiar with, sorry.
Chance me?

Oh, like my fellow posters have said, improving your SAT superscore to at least the low 2200s would help greatly with Duke. Your unweighted will hurt you some, however, making it a mid to high reach.

Thanks!

I don’t know if this will help, but I got my AP exam scores.

USH-2 (o_0) Not sending
Psychology-4
Statistics-4
Environmental Science-4
English-5
Ap Scholar with Honor

Will those scores help at all?

omg my sister got into unc with 1150/1600 sat in state, you’ll def get in it’s SOOOO easy.
you could apply ED to Duke and EA to UNC, and you’d have a shot at both. Consider it.

http://talk.collegeconfidential.com/what-my-chances/1168613-chances-congressional-page-columbia-ed-will-chance-back.html</a>
chance back

I would say your in all of them besides Duke. If you really like Duke, you would have a chance at ED.
Chance me back please!

Sorry to say but i dont think you have a chance for Duke  But i think you are definitely in UNC if you are instate. Clemson shouldnt be too hard for you either.
