Chance Me? (Yale Transfer)

you dont have a chance at Yale. dont even apply, you'll just waste your money.
Think about other schools, perhaps NOT ivy league calibre but maybe a good LAC or a top public school. But for yale, I dont think you have a chance.

Don't listen to Constable. There is absolutely NO reason not to apply if you would like to attend Yale. Constable sounds like someone who is sour about his/her own chances (or results) and is projecting that negativity onto others. Frankly your application is stronger than mine was in some areas (volunteer, SATs namely) and I got in.

Thank you MagiTF, your words give me huge encouragement too. I will never know if I dont try.

I have a friend who was accepted to Yale as a CC transfer but chose to attend another institution. His background: African orphan, immigrated to U.S., homeless for a few years, worked crazy hours each week while going to his community college, raised something like $5,000 for AIDS outreach, had a NASA-funded research project, ridiculous cocurriculars and volunteer work, salutatorian of his high school class (and graduated way early), won every national award and scholarship available for community college transfers...

So, yeah, not exactly like him. But that doesn't mean it's not possible! Just apply and see how it goes. :)

I think you should apply as well.
You mentioned a bit about your background and I think that should help you.
