Hook: Native American, enrolled in tribe

Also, I did an on-campus interview. I think it went fairly well. Not "OMGYOU'REIN!!!" well, but I don't think I did too shabby.

Your hook and ECs are great, but your SAT would likely make Reed a reach. If you can get m close to 600 and write a great essay, you may have a good shot.

Thank you :) Mmhm, I'm desperately hoping to raise the SAT score (death to collegeboard!!) And I'll definitely get to workin' on that essay...

Your test scores are actually way above average for native americans, and you're coming from an economically disadvantaged school where you've taken full advantage of what was available to you. Admissions officers, not just at Reed but other schools as well, are likely to take those factors into account when considering your test scores. Do retake, though, as higher is always better. Good luck!

Reed doesn't consider minority status much in their admission process. However, if being a Native American enrolled in a tribe has affected you in some profound way, you might want to talk about it in your essays.
