Hey everyone, I applied to Smith regular decision and it's probably my top choice school. However, all this waiting is starting to get to me and I've been worrying that perhaps I don't even have a chance. I've been homeschooled all of my life so my education is non-traditional, and I don't know how they'll view that. Can any one shed some light on this? These next two months of waiting will be easier if I feel a little less hopeless.....

I'm a Caucasian girl from Virginia and my family is lower middle class.

Unweighted GPA: I have a 3.89 from my highschool classes (taken at home or through co-op programs) and a 4.0 at my local community college where I was duel enrolled

SAT: They were okay, but as a student with ADD I felt like they didn't represent me very well. Long tests are really hard for me and though I did well on CR and W, my math was weak. I decided not to submit them.

Awards:
Nothing much - just acting stuff.

Essay:
I wrote about my experience becoming a counselor at the same camp I grew up attending and what it felt like to come full circle.

Recommendations:
One from a teacher who taught me history for four years
One from my spanish teacher of three years
I didn't get to read them, but I know they spoke well of me.

Other:
I had an interview that seemed a bit like an integration, but when I attended an Smith Open House, my interviewer was there and actually had many nice things to say about me.

My mother wrote a parent letter talking about my character and passions - things that are hard to see in an application.

My parents also sent in a homeschool supplement giving course descriptions and a reading list.

Do I have a chance??
