Ok guys honestly I dont expect to get in, I already know I messed up in high school but its to late now. Im in state and plan on doing the priority deadline for the college of general studies. I have 3.5 weighted gpa, 24 act and had a lot of extracurriculars but not are that great besides debate where I won some stuff but nothing great. Only 3 ap's and 7 honors classes. I saw from the U of I website it said the average act for general studies was 25 and high school rank 80-94%. I was in the top 25ish i think. Im just under all the marks, if I blow them away with my essays will that help? It is my reach school as I have already been accepted to Iowa and will apply regardless but if you guys could tell me that would be awesome. Be brutally honest, thanks in advance.

No joke, 50% of U of I’s application process is based on the apps, your gpa is better than it needs to be, and you should consider getting that ACT up…a lot

not apps >_< i meant essays not apps

@Shubes5 are you serious! I would figure a big/public state school would look primarily at SAT scores and GPA?
