Chance Me?

Hi everyone,
Two of my top 3 schools are George Washington and American University, and was wondering what my chances are.
GPA: 3.69 weighted; however, I go to a very rigorous school (1st in county. 7th in state. 78th in nation among public schools). It runs on a schedule called a 4x4 which is much like a college schedule (1 semester=1 year of class) Its accelerated. I also have gotten all A's save for 1 B this year (junior year) so am on an upward trend and have taken 3 APs and am signed up to take 3 more next year.

Tests: ACT-30 (possible 31 w/ superscore)

EC: Baseball freshman and sophomore year (JV) while working ~10 hours per week. Then working for international company (Starbucks) ~18-20 hour per week this year and next year. President of Baseball club sophomore year. Co-president of community service club senior year that I have been apart of since sophomore year. Also was a delegate in a Model United Nations this year.

I also will have good teacher recommendations, and am a strong writer so I believe my essays will be good.

I am also planning on contracting with AROTC and studying political sciences with pre law if that matters. I know the GPA may seem low, but it is average for my school. Many people around me at my school with these grades have been accepted but any feedback would be awesome.
Thank you so much!

I will chance back :)

AMU: match
George Washington U: high match

If you say that many students of similar academic standing have been admitted, I’d assume your high school has a good reputation amongst the colleges and you should therefore have a decent shot considering the fact that your ECs and ACT is within their range.

However, you might want to check if either of them superscore the ACT because I know very few colleges do that. If they do, great. However, if they don’t, it may be wise to take it once more and shoot for that 31 or 32 because, at least in my mind, you’re right on the fence in that aspect of your application. However, its obviously your call.

Good luck and chance back?
