I have a 3.8 and i have been in 6 clubs at school(currently 4). I am an officer for one of the clubs. I played soccer in the city league. I am son of 2 parents that never went to high school and that work in the fields. My family is of very low income (around 35,000) I am mexican american. English was my 2nd language. Sat score was 1800 and i am retaking it (probably getting around a 2000) and i am taking the act (probably going to get around 30) i have taken 7 ap classes and have gotten a least a b in all of them. i have been told that i write very well so i am confident i can write very good essays. i also do community service and have about 160 hours so far ( i tutor at an elementary school nearby) let me know what you think

c’mon people. Can anyone help me out?

Reach for UCLA, UCB, CMU, and Notre Dame. You need to bring up your SAT scores by 200+ to 400+ points for these schools.

The CSUs are pretty solid, except for maybe Cal Poly. A few of my friends who expected to get in easily were rejected, and their stats seemed to be more or less around yours. Not to scare you or anything, but it couldn’t hurt to step everything up a notch, obviously.

ND, UCLA, UCB, CMU are all reaches
UCI and Cal Poly SLO are matches
The rest are safeties

ok thank you and yes i plan on at least a 2000 on the sat and at least a 30 on the act
