Chance Me

Never thought I'd find myself here, but 15 days until EA decisions, I'm feeling a little sick, and I need to be prepared for what's coming.

Got to meet some of the admissions officers over the summer, maybe one or two will remember me, I was pretty outspoken but how am I supposed to wait two more weeks help me I'm dying

I would say that no one here can give you an accurate chance…

…but you got into MITES. A “significant” portion of those who get into MITES get accepted into MIT. I’m friends with a couple of people here who got into MITES, and they are just awesome (not to say that others who are in my freshman class aren’t awesome, but these guys just stand out to me).

I can say without a doubt that your chances are better than an applicant without MITES, RSI, or WTP on their application.

Your scores are similar to mine when I applied. And this is coming from a person who got rejected from MITES but got EA admission into MIT the following December.

Looks good bud! Good luck to you! (As a fellow Nigerian, I gotta root for the home country!)

Ah thank you! @SpaceDuck and you’re right, I really have no way of telling, I just need some way to dispense my anxiety. But again, much appreciated!

WafflesAnyone, hey man I think you already got in! Anyway please write me when you will get your decision.

Forums like CC are often criticized for misleading advice in chance-me threads. Replies like Askar96’s above only serve to reinforce that reputation.

“I can say without a doubt that your chances are better than an applicant without MITES, RSI, or WTP on their application.”

hey, that’s a little misleading too. Correlation isn’t causation.
