Chance me for Newhouse and/or Whitman? Also, does SU give a lot of financial aid?

Syracuse is my dream school and I’m applying ED this fall. I’m an Asian female from Virginia.

SAT:
CR: 630
Math: 600
Writing: 640
(I’m taking the SAT again this October and probably going to get 2000-2100)

GPA: 3.8 out of 4.0

Extracurriculars:
Founder of a club
Co-president of a club
Volunteer
Girl Scouts
English Honor Society
National Honor Society
Social Studies Honor Society
Tutor manager at my school’s Writing Center

Awards:
Governor’s School for Humanities
3 Girl Scouts awards
Distinguished Officer-Key Club
Two awards from a hospital I used to volunteer at

You sound really solid. Are you applying to either Newhouse or Whitman or trying to do a duel?

As far as finaid, they have very large packages, just make sure to do everything within your power to get that money.

Thanks for responding! I think duel, but right now I’m not too sure. Do you know if ED is binding if I don’t get enough financial aid? @Syracuse19 @orangehanna

dueling majors is always challenging, let alone dangerous. remember what happened to alexander hamilton. they will always let you out of ed if you say it’s insufficient, which it most likely will be. don’t know what the other meant by a large package, but almost everyone that applies for financial aid gets a “merit” discount. the rest is meager. one warning…do NOT use the net price calculator to guide your interest in SU, it is very,very inaccurate, always to the detriment of the applicant
