Chance me

Hey guys so I moved from a school in MI to India this year but I go to an American Int school here (same curriculum)
My gpa for 9th and 10th in MI was 3.9 UW and I took all English, Science, and Math honors courses

And then it dropped to 3.5 here but I take
AP Physics 1, AP BC Calc, AP Chem, AP Lang, AP Econ

Next year I’m taking AP: Stats, Psych, US Politics and Gov, Bio, and Physics C
ACT:32 (34,34,33,29)

Also I’m an MUN Chair since the 11th grade (have been to conferences internationally)
I’m president of a genetics club (4 years in a row) and it’s associated with U of M
I also have been part of a club that takes place at the university for all of high school
I’m president of a service based club that teaches english to local kids

I’ve won some regional and state awards in regional and state competitions
I’ve done a political campaign internship (US Senate) and I was an intern at a cancer biology lab at the university of Michigan.
I’ve also submitted a scientific paper for publication but it takes a year to process and I’m working on another one currently
I’m also going to do a service internship this summer in Indian slums

And my dad went to Ross so I’m a legacy

I’m super scared I won’t get in. What are my chances?
Also do I have a chance at any school that’s higher ranked or similar (suggestions would help)?
Thanks so much!

please take a look!

Are you still considered a resident? As a resident, your chances are decent. As a non-resident, Michigan is a shot in be dark these days, accepting fewer than 20% of OOS applicants. Your legacy status will not help much, but if Michigan is your top choice, apply early action and really try to demonstrate your interest in your essays. As for getting into peer institutions like Berkeley, Carnegie Mellon, Cornell, Northwestern, UCLA, UVA Etc…or higher ranked schools, like Chicago, Columbia, Harvard, MIT etc,…, assuming you are considered an OOS applicant by Michigan, your chances are going to be be roughly the same in some cases and worse in other cases. Admission into top universities has become extremely difficult I am afraid.

Thanks! my weighted gpa is higher than the school’s averages but my uw is far below so i’m not sure about that

I also did an additional internship at an university in india this summer and i’m geting a letter of rec from an lsa professor. Also my school is known to be difficult and i’m putting in an academic addendum explaining the grade drop
