Chance Me

Hey all,
I’m sure you’ve already had a lot of these, but I really love Williams and I’m starting to get a bit stressed two days before, so I’d love to know what other prospective ED’ers or current/former college students think. It’s a bit long, but I would appreciate it a lot. Thanks!

I attend a private school in New York City that regularly sends kids to Ivy League and Elite D3 institutions.
I have two letters of recommendation from my Multivariable Calculus teacher and my A.T. (my school’s version of AP) European History teacher.

SAT (old): 2280 (780 math, 740 reading, 760 writing)
SAT II: 780 math 2, 770 lit.

Current course load: 3 AT classes, (Multivariable Calc, Statistics, Gov) with two advanced classes (Nuclear Physics and English course on Dostoyevsky), with 4 A’s and 1 A-. (A is the highest grade)
Overall high school GPA unweighted: 3.86

Extracurriculars:
-4 year Varsity soccer player, team captain senior year, we made states.
-Varsity track athlete, 800 meter runner.
-Lead Alto Saxophonist in my school’s wind symphony and jazz band
-Member of Math Team and Math club-top 1000 in the country on math team for parts of last year.
-Winner of the Dartmouth College Book Award (Awarded to the best male student and best female student in the junior class), and a member of Cum Laude (Merit society, I was the only boy inducted)
-Camp counselor at a summer camp for the last 4 years
-Volunteered for the Hillary Clinton Campaign for 8 months leading up to the election :frowning:

Thanks!
Caleb

Without knowing if your course load is most or very rigorous compared to others at your school, your stats seem within Williams’ and other top schools’ range. From what I’ve gathered Wms seems to like scholar athletes who have another extracurricular activity they’ve put a lot of time and passion into, in your case soccer and sax. Good luck!
