Senior in 2018 at pretty competitive high school in Texas(cutoff for top 10% is a 101.25 just saying)

-2 time All state trumpet player
-drum major in marching band

-Writing club founder/president
-Community service club leader founder (200+ hours per year)
-Started and ran my own school newspaper, eventually became more popular than actual school newspaper
-Leadership club (chosen by mayor of city out of pool of 2000 students to be part of city council group of 15 students, was able to meet state governor through it)
-Job at Chipotle
I’m not really a flashy guy so I don’t have any major awards, but I’m shooting for something more liberal arts/journalism focused. Targeting schools such as UT Austin, NYU, UW Seattle, and maybe for the heck of it USC. I’m aware that some of these are a pie in the sky, but i’m not gonna be all “I have a 1600 sat should I even apply” and melodramatic about it. Just some honest feedback would be appreciated.
