Chance Me

GPA of 3.94 (weighted)
ACT: 20 Writing: 9 on all
SAT: 1050
3 APs, 1 Honor
E.C: ASB, superb amount of community service hours
First generation student, Trilingual, AVID student

What are my chances to a CSU, UC, Cal Lutheran, and Santa Clara University?
My intended majors would be psychology (B.S), Nursing (Pre), Public Health, or Biological Sciences.

I was wondering what I would be looking towards regarding schools.

What is your UC GPA? https://rogerhub.com/gpa-calculator-uc/
Use that link to calculate it and use only courses from 10th-11th grades.

Based on the link you provided me, adding my 10-11th grades:
Unweighted GPA: 3.95
Weighted GPA: 4.05
Weighted and Capped GPA: 4.05

are you sure you did it correctly? is the 3.94 GPA you originally listed weighted? Cuz the capped and weighted GPA cannot be higher than your high school weighted GPA.

CSU’s admit by eligiblity index and major. You have a solid GPA but your test scores are very low especially for any Pre-Nurisng programs since these are highly competitive and impacted.

EI= (CSU GPA x800)+ (SAT Math + EBRW) or (CSU GPA x200)+ (ACT composite x10)

EI for SAT is 4202 and ACT EI is 1088. These are probably not high enough to get you into most of the Pre-Nursing programs but high enough for most of the Cal States in other majors except Cal Poly SLO, San Diego State, Long Beach.

Do you have plans to retake either test in December?

What is your local in-service area CSU? You will get priority at that school unless it is SDSU or Cal Poly SLO…

Cal Lutheran is a definite possibility and SCU will be a Reach school.

Although the UC’s are very GPA focused, your SAT/ACT scores again will make them very tough admits. I would target UC Merced and Riverside. The rest of the UC’s based on the statistical data would probably be out of reach.

2018 Data:
25th - 75th percentiles for SAT:

UCB: 1360-1540

UCLA: 1340-1540
UCSD: 1300-1520
UCSB: 1270-1500
UCD: 1220-1480
UCI: 1230-1490
UCSC: 1210-1450
UCR: 1130-1380
UCM: 1020-1280

25th - 75th percentiles for ACT:
UCB: 30-35
UCLA: 31-35
UCSD: 28-34
UCSB: 28-34
UCD: 26-33
UCI: 26-33
UCSC: 26-32
UCR: 22-30
UCM: 19-26

Best of luck, apply widely to the CSU’s and I am sure you will have several options from which to choose.

Yeah, you said to only enter in my grades from 10-11th. I copied and pasted onto this thread afterward
