chance me

I'm currently a junior at a top-rated public high school

I want to get into business/investment banking or something

Cumulative gpa up through sophomore year is 3.58, I believe I can raise it to about a 3.6 something, maybe even 3.7
freshman year was just under 3.5, so I'm on an improving trend

(gpa is weighted .5 for ap, I hate my school/county's grading scale, it's tough. 94-100 = a, 90-93 = b+, etc, no a+)

I've taken
ap computer science (4)
taking:
ap us history
ap calculus bc
ap chemistry

probably going to take another 3-4 ap's next year

4 years of spanish, physics, biology, chem, world history, CAD, economics, etc. basically every single class at my school is honors. (my school is just tougher, period)

I just took the december sat, I'm fairly confident that (if not this test, at least by the next 1-2 tests) I can get at least ~1500 or ~2200 with writing

-1 year of jv crew
-1 year of jv golf
-2 years of varsity golf (includes next year which i'm sure i'll be varsity, slight chance i'll be captain)
-elementary school tutoring for all 4 years (program through my school where we go to elementary schools around ours and assist teachers and work with the kids)
-tutoring various es/ms kids
-held a job for all of sophomore year
-another job most of this past summer, and probably going to be holding jobs for the rest of hs

so far, I want to apply to U.va, nyu, bc, and v.tech is safety so far

so what do you think? also what do you think I can do to improve, especially ec's

add william & mary and u.mich

Your list is looking good so far. Also look at Villanova. I don't believe that UMich looks at Freshman year grades.

thanks for the opinion, any others??

bump =] ? also anyone want to tell me a bit more about villanova? don't know much at all, any other suggestions?

jcrew, excellent school overall and has a highly rated business program. The school has continued to rise in the rankings along with its business program. It is Catholic, but there is no pressure to attend religious services. Beautiful campus located in the suburbs of Philly. Train station nearby for easy access to Philly. Big basketball school.

cool thanks, i'll consider, any others?
