GPA (unweighted): 3.94
ACT: 34
SAT: 2050 (730 cr, 680 w, 640 m)(I retook it 5/3 and am hoping to have done better)

APs:

12: APEuro/AP English/AP Calc and possible AP Physics

EC's:
Tennis

Campus Ministry
Theater

Volunteering:
~150 hours by graduation

I worked all through my junior year, about 10-20 hrs a week.

Schools I'm hoping for:
Williams College
Boston College
Dartmouth (my far, far, far, far reach)

(I also think I might apply to Harvard just for the heck of it).

Also, if anyone knows any schools on the east coast I could use as safeties, that would be great.

BC and Williams are probably slight reaches, and Dartmouth is definitely a big reach. I think that if you got a 2100 or better this time on your SATs, your chances at BC and Williams will be greater.

Hmm...well I don't really know what you want to major in, so I can't really tell you any specific schools. However, just by looking at your stats these schools might be safeties...
BU
UMass
URI
UConn
Rutgers
Northeastern

Yes, I'm hoping for at least a 2100 on the SAT this time around.

Thanks!

You have a great ACT score, so maybe you should just submit that.

northeastern aint no safety lol....but i think you have good chances anyways
:)

You'll have no problem – your great ACT makes up for your "only" good SAT, and your grades are fine, and ECs are good. I would say that BC is a fit, while Williams and Dartmouth are both reaches.
BU–low match/safety
URI– safety
UConn –safety (UConn Honors is a low match)
Rutgers – safety
Northeastern – low match

If my SAT score doesn't improve a lot on this go then I think I will do this. It would probably improve my chances.

I was planning on visiting/possibly applying to Northeastern and BU, so that's good. I'll have to look at the rest.

Again, thanks to everyone! This is really helpful!

Question: Would it hurt my chances to send in my SAT score along with the ACT, or would it not matter? Even if I get a higher SAT, should I leave it off unless it's over 2280 (my ACT equivalent)?
