chance me!

hi i'm a senior and i just applied to johns hopkins, stanford, berkeley, princeton, yale, cornell, duke, and harvard.

stats: 4.3 cumulative GPA (val)
2220 SAT (i only took it once, in my sophomore year--big mistake)
Math II 760 Bio 730 English 750 History 700
8 APs: Lit, Lang, Bio, US Hist, Econ, Govt, Stats, Calc BC (half 4, half 5)

ECS:
11 years violinist: performed on tv, at hotels, concert halls,
Key Club president (11,12)
Tennis Team Treasurer (10,11) Captain (12)
Church Sunday School teacher 5 years
AVID tutor (12)
Math club president and co-founder (9,10)
Chinese school 12 years

Work:
Private tutor (1 year), Kumon tutor (2 years), Chinese school teacher's aid (3 years)

I've already received an auto-admission from Davis...but I don't think I want to go there! I think JHU is my first choice.

I think you have a good chance at all of these schools. Well, as good as you can have. Ivies for the most part become a crap shoot unless you have a crazy hook. Good luck, though.

JHU- high match/low reach (you will probably get in here, but there's always a chance)
Stanford- low reach
Berkeley- if you live in CA, match, if not, reach.
Princeton- reach
yale- reach
cornell- reach
duke- high match/low reach
harvard- reach

all the ivies are reaches for everyone, but you definitely have a good shot. You have good grades, good scores, good ECs, and good work experience. If your essays and your recs rock, you're very competitive for admission at a lot of schools.

chance me? <a href="http://talk.collegeconfidential.com/what-my-chances/614298-chances-updated-i-will-chance-back.html%5B/url%5D">http://talk.collegeconfidential.com/what-my-chances/614298-chances-updated-i-will-chance-back.html</a></p>

johns hopkins 30%
princeton 20%
yale 20%
cornell 35%
duke 35%
harvard 15%

No Stanford? What do you want to study?

Like others have said, at some point ivy admissions become a craps shoot. You definely have everything it takes to get into those schools.

Good Luck

I think you have a pretty good shot at JHU, seeing that you have a bit better stats that me and I got in last year. Good luck! :)
