chance me!

hey, I was wondering what you guys think my chances of getting into UMass Amherst are after checking out my stats:

GPA 3.0
AP U.S. History
Honors English 1-3
Honors Spanish
Honors Chem and Bio
Latin 1,2
4 years of Math, History, Science, Language, English,
3 years of Band, and such electives

SAT 1875 (Math 570, Reading 590, Writing 670, Essay 10)

E.C's:
Theatre Project 4 years
D.I 3 years
Track and Field 4 years
Ski (forever)
I have made a few award winning films (M.I.F.F. award winner and finalist) (State Film Festivals)
International Club 1 year
Bridges (leadership/counselor training) at Camp Hawthorne

I think I wrote a very good college essay and I sent a separate "note of interest" to the admissions office.

2 teachers and 1 counselor wrote recs

Thanks guys, I appreciate it.

In or out of state?

If in state, I'd say in.

Please chance me back

<a href="http://talk.collegeconfidential.com/what-my-chances/620078-like-virgin-very-first-time.html%5B/url%5D">http://talk.collegeconfidential.com/what-my-chances/620078-like-virgin-very-first-time.html</a></p>

Then I'd say 65-70% chance of getting in. Your 3.0 puts you in with 24% of the admitted students. And your SAT scores are above the 25th percentile, however, quite sadly, I do not think UMass looks at Writing :-/ ... I Could be wrong though!

yea, i know my GPA is my anchor, but my SAT scores are above average according to their website

yea, i don't think very many colleges look at writing either

thanks tho i appreciate it

I think you have a pretty good chance of getting in there because your GPA is about their avg. and your SATs are well above their avg. you're also pretty good in all the other aspects.

Chance me back plz :<a href="http://talk.collegeconfidential.com/what-my-chances/620059-chance-average-student.html%5B/url%5D">http://talk.collegeconfidential.com/what-my-chances/620059-chance-average-student.html</a></p>

thanks guys i appreciate this very much

i should also mention that i applied Early Action

You're in. I don't see why not. It's not ridiculously hard to get into, and it's huge. You're much better than probably half the applicants. The only thing that might get in your way in state vs. out of state.

Trust me, they gave my a free ride lmao.

really? did u get into umass amherst?

thanks, btw

I think you are in also. Best of luck!

even though im out of state? nd do u think it helped that i sent them a letter of interest and applied early action- i would have applied early decision but they don't have the option

What is their average SAT/ACT?

Dude don't stress about UMass. You're in.

Could i get in with 3.25 GPA and 1550 SAT?

their avg SATs r Writing: Mid 500's Reading: Higher 500's Math: Higher 500's

i think

anymore chances?

Oh dear. I dont have a high math SAT score.

bump bump,

It was concerning my chances on UMASS so bump you.

an 1875 on the SAT????

rejected because you can't add.

you have an 1830 on your SAT.

btw ur SAT scores dont add to 1875...its an 1830?
