<p>I am applying undecided to UMASS Amherst. It is my dream school and I very much want to get in. Do you think I can get in? I have not applied to another school yet, so if it's not a shoe-in, I need to apply somewhere else asap. Chance me and I'll chance back!!!!!</p>

<p>-I have a 3.43 gpa, a 4.2 weighted.
-Take all honors and AP's. (3 aps and 20 honors classes)
-Gpa in order of year: 3.2, 3.1, 3.8 (all honors coursework), and so far in senior year, 3.55
-I got an 1820 on my sat's</p>

<p>Extracurriculars:
-2 years of varsity track
-Founding member of my schools Young Democrats branch (2 years)
-Founding member of my schools Interact branch (3 years)
-4 years of ACT (my schools volunteer/planning group)
-6+ years of drama experience. Been involved with over 15 plays.
-Volunteered for 4 political campaigns
-Paid tutor for 4 years</p>

<p>A long-distance “friend” of mine (friend used loosely) got into UMASS Amherst with similar stats (slightly lower GPA [3.3] but slightly higher SATs [1920]). They also didn’t found any clubs and spent all their time after school smoking, so I think you have a good chance :P</p>

<p>I believe that Amherst will be a match for you. And WHEN you get in and go there, of you decided to contact me on here and tell me about the college life there, I would greatly appreciate it. I’m looking at umass Amherst as my safety.</p>

<p>Possible match-high match. SAT scores and GPA could be better, but they aren’t horrible. ECs are all good. You should really apply to some other schools though, just in case <em>can’t think of any at the moment</em>.</p>

<p>DukeHopeful2014 - I’ve been on some tours and I know a lot of people. It’s known as a ‘party school’, and if that’s what you’re looking for, it is. But to me, it’s not. If you have any specific questions, just pm me :)</p>

<p>I think you’ve got a very good shot! I like the depth with drama and the whole political theme you’ve got going on. Just get your GPA a little higher and I think you’re good to go :)</p>

<p>yeah you should be fine. the only thing that would hurt you would be your lack of many ap classes

Your extracurricular seem solid and your credentials are right up UMASS’ alley!
