<p>Being asian and applying to Vanderbilt is like being the crown prince applying for kingship.</p>

<p>Simply lily, most, if not all other top tier colleges have too many asians for their liking (significantly more than the general population would provide) making it possibly detrimental. Vanderbilt only this year matched the University of Georgia's asian population at 8%. The school has been recruiting them like wildfire in recent years to try to "catch up" to the Ivies and the like with less than desired success.</p>
