<p>I am a sophomore right now attending a private College prep high school.
Freshman gpa: 3.8 ; Algebra 2 honors</p>

<p>Sophomore gpa (1st semester): 3.9 ; AP Biology, Honors world history, honors precalculus</p>

<p>Varsity Tennis team: #4 Frosh, #2 Soph</p>

<p>Started my own Math tutoring center as a small job.</p>

<p>In my school's National Honors Society</p>

<p>175 volunteer service hours so far. Presidential Award for this.</p>

<p>School rank so far: 20%</p>

<p>Also for sophs, we do not get AP history only honors</p>

<p>My college choices are Stanford, Berkeley, UCLA, Harvard, Cornell, Columbia, Princeton, UPenn.</p>

<p>I also play the drums, guitar, and keyboard. Acted on stage since I was in kindergarden for like cultural shows and I sung and danced too. I have also acted in a small film when I was in 6th grade.That's as far as my arts go.</p>

<p>I will take AP Chem, APUSH, AP Calculus, Honors French IV/or Engineering course, AP Computer Science, and Honors English as a Junior.</p>

<p>As a senior i will take AP Physics, AP Statistics, AP English, AP Econ(sem), AP Gov (sem), and Honors Business and Marketing</p>

<p>Spend the next year doing what you love–tennis, music, acting etc. Try not to focus on college; the time will come!</p>

<p>I don’t want to be that guy, but your GPA need to be higher. I deplore people who obsess over grades to the exclusion of enjoying activities/enjoying life, but a 3.8 is on the lower end of the spectrum. It might not count you out, but it does you no favors.</p>
