weve got like a good college counsellor with some nice pull, i think i can make my essay really good, annndd i think one of my recs will be really good and the other will be good but not like abnormalllly great

What percentage of the graduating class from your prep school gets into the Ivies/MIT/Stanford? (you have good chances by the way)

class of 2009 had 16 out of 69 go ivy/mit but id say probably 6-7 of those were sports related

I’d say you have good chances then, especially if you’re in the top 15% or so.

You have about a 1 in 7 or 1 in 8 chance of getting in.

If your high school is as good as you say it is, then the Ivies will automatically notice you, especially if you’ve got some of the top grades. If your counselors have pull, then that’s even better. You will, however, need to get the good teacher rec to become a really good rec. You have solid APs, not the best they’ll see, but definetly good enough. I’d say your extracurriculars are ivy league caliber, maybe not the top of the top, but still great. I’d say that they’d seriously consider you, and you’ve got a good shot at getting in!
