Chance my almost complete college list!!!! Tried to make it easy to read!! I ALWAYS chance back!!

So here it is, probably my last (or penultimate) chances post ever!! Added many new schools and of course AP scores and all that are out, so those are here.

Private, Competitive Boarding School

GPA (on a 7 point scale..but my school tells colleges that a 6.5=4.0)

ACT: 32 (taking one more time)

AP Scores: 5 AP US History, 5 AP American Gov, 4 AP Comp Gov (arg!!! so frustrating!!!)

SAT IIs: 760 US History, 740 English Lit, 700 Math II (everyone says these are easy,....don't listen to them!! also, was it a mistake to take math II when I hadn't done calculus yet?)

Awards:
-Alumni Association Scholarship Award of 1000$ -given to one male and one female junior who show academic excellence and better the campus in other ways by their presence. (junior year)

-Two years of basketball (1 year freshman team, 1 year JV)
-two years of JV lacrosse (9th and 10th grade)
-one year of varsity track, junior year (and one more year this spring, idk if i can put that on my app though)

-Writer for school newspaper, 4 years (and yeah, no leadership...I guess I wasn't as active as I could've been, plus not a part of the newspaper clique, which annoyingly, decides the editors...)

-Member of Business Club, 4 years (hoping I can take over leadership this year, since the people in charge don;t really take it seriously)

-5 years of doing a week of community service in TE with my youth group, around 180/190 hours

okay there it all is..please, any chances are welcome, even if just for one or two of the schools...and if anyone could recommend a few more safeties, that would be awesome!!

Chance me for:
UVA (treated as in state because parents went to grad school)
Dartmouth
Cornell
Notre Dame
Boston University
Tufts
Michigan
Colgate
Case
Lafayette

Thank you in advance!!!!

let the shameless bumping begin

I’m not sure what you mean by “treated as in state because parents went to grad school”

the UVA legacy policy is that legacies are treated as instate applicants

BU would be your safety

chance while I chance you- http://talk.collegeconfidential.com/what-my-chances/1669277-chances-2nd-tier-schools.html#latest</a>
are Honors classes not offered in 9 and 10, you only have 3
This is assuming only THREE HONORS offered 9-10 grade.
UVA in state is a high match
Cornell and Darthmout- reach
Tufts, ND, - low reach
Rest are matches and high matches

UVA-match if instate
Cornell + Darthmout: Ivies so reach for everyone
Tufts: High match/low reach
Everywhere else I would say are matches, have you considered any safeties?

yeah there aren’t many honors classes offered to underclassmen, I could have taken an AP science or doubled in history and taken an AP history in 10th grade, but i took honors science instead of the AP, and i did’t want a full 7 class schedule, because I was filling my arts requirement…so yeah I’m making up for that by taking 5 APs this year

i am still looking for good safties if anyone wants to give any input there as well

@soccerlover‌17 is there a specific geographic location you would like to stay in? I would say all the schools on the bottom of your list you have a good chance at. Whats your major? chance back please

Cornell and Dartmouth are reach for everyone, but Cornell less so. You have a pretty good chance at all of these schools. OSU is of course a viable safety. Tufts and ND are reach/low reach. Are you looking to stay in a certain area? BU is the closest thing to a safety on your list. Lafayette is also sort of a safety/low match. Good luck!

Chance me back? :)

BU is an expensive, private university. It’s not close to being a safety unless the OP is wealthy. It’s a match. You should 2 instate public school.

UVA (treated as in state because parents went to grad school)- low match
Dartmouth- high reach
Cornell- reach
Notre Dame- match
Boston University- you’ll get in
Tufts- low reach
Michigan- match
Colgate- low reach
Case- idk
Lafayette- idk

chance back por favor

Thanks all, if anyone could recommend more safties that would be great. I’m not actually sure what my major is, but leaning towards either english, or economics depending on how I like the class this year. no specific area i like, other than the fact that im trying to stay away from too far out west. i do have miami of ohio on my college list but i didnt ask for chances because i know thats a saftey. keep the opinions coming please! ill chance everyone here back soon!

UVA- match
Dartmouth- high reach
Cornell- high reach (Ivies are unpredictable. This is the case for everyone.)
Notre Dame- low reach
Boston University- match
Tufts- low reach
Michigan- match
Colgate- low reach
Case- match
Lafayette- match

I think that if you had a stunning essay, you would have a serious chance at Dartmouth, Cornell, and Notre Dame. A good safety would be any state college, because you definitely have the credentials to get in. So a good safety would be your state college, whatever it is.

Message me if you have any questions. Also, can you please chance me? Thank you!!!

UVA - match
Dartmouth - reach
Cornell - reach
Notre Dame - low reach
Boston University - match
Tufts - low reach
Michigan - high match
Colgate - high match
Case - match
Lafayette - match

A lot of these will depend on your essays. Good luck!

Michigan - match
Colgate - match

Lafayette - match

I’m not that familiar with the last three colleges (I don’t speak “colleges” yet), but I think you’ve got a good shot! I’d say take as many of the opportunities that you get during senior year, and really give it all you’ve got!

Chance me? http://talk.collegeconfidential.com/what-my-chances/1669971-just-another-asian-chance-me.html#latest</a></p>
