<p>I got in to Penn (CAS) ED in December and my friend asked me to chance her ... could you guys help?? :)</p>

<p>Chinese-Canadian applying for Fin. Aid. from Alberta
Applied to Penn ED, M&T ... (2nd choice Wharton) ... got DEFERRED :(</p>

<p>Rank: Top 3% ish</p>

<p>SAT: She took it twice ... best score so far being somewhere between 2200 and 2250... She's thinking of taking it again this month :S</p>

<p>SAT Subjects: 750-800 on Math 2C, Phys., Chem. </p>

<p>APs: School doesn't offer many APs but self-studied. Got 5's on Calc BC, Chem, Physics, Bio., English Language</p>

<p>ECs: Founder and head of her school's Business Club since grade 10. Model UN since grade 10. Math Team, Dance Club and Science Club since grade 9. Vocal at the church youth group since grade 6. 200+ volunteer hours at a seniors' home</p>

<p>Awards: bunch of national&regional science and math awards. A few piano awards and certificates</p>

<p>Essays and recs apparently great</p>

<p>I had slightly better stats and was ED deferred then rejected (didn't ask for FA as an international). So, not so good.</p>
