I go to a private catholic high school in Nebraska. During this school year my student advisor had us pick our top 7 colleges we would like to go to so my top 7 are
1.) LSU (Louisiana State University)
2.) TCU (Texas Christian University)
3.) UFL (University of Florida)
4.) Iowa State University
5.) Texas A&M
6.) SLU (Southeastern Louisiana University)
7.) UNL (University of Nebraska, Lincoln)

In my freshman year of high school I really screwed up. I didn't really try and I got C's and D's. This year during first semester I was able to manage to catch up to my work and pull B's and C's which is still not great I know I can do better. This upcoming semester I plan to work alot harder and get A's and B's the rest of my high school career. Also during 1st semester of this year I got a 21 on my PLAN Test (Pre ACT) which added up to me averaging a 22-26 on my actual ACT. I plan to take the ACT next year. If I can keep my grades up the rest of my time at my current school do I still have chances of getting into LSU or TCU? LSU is my first choice since its my dream school. I've always planned on going to LSU since I was about 12 but now I just don't know since I screwed up. I'm paying for my mistakes I've made last year but I am proud of myself because I was in the bottom 10% of my class but was able to pull myself up to the top 30% of my class which is a big milestone for me. I know I can probably get a letter of recommendation from my student advisor and the dean of students at my school. I do work study for her and she always says I am a reliable and trust worthy person. My GPA last year was 2.2

My extracirricular activities are the yearbook committee and Track . I plan on doing Cross Country next fall. I also do alot of community service because of mandatory hours that are required for school but I usually do more than the required amount would they look into that?

Any opinions would be great! Don't be shy to tell me your honest opinions I won't get offended lol. I just want any feedback that could help make me a better student and an applicant they would like to pick!
