Have other students from your school been admitted to Rice in the past? Does your school have Naviance? If so, Naviance is usually a very good predictor of your admission chances. Being from outside of Texas and being Hispanic and first generation should also give you a boost. 33 ACT was in the 25 percent range for last year’s class. If you can pull it up by a point or two that might improve your chances also.
