You’re about the 60th percentile for Gtech ACT scores. (avg is a 31) You probably have a 50/50 shot
It depends on which college you have applied to. Unlikely for college of engineering or computing because of your math scores. Much better chance for the other colleges.
I applied for Chemical engineering/undecided school of engineering on the common app. Does the fact that I am taking AP Calculus BC and dual enrollment College Algebra this year help my chances at all?
I think you have a great chance of getting in.
Update: got my act scores and got a 30 on the math and 33 on reading so superscored I am now at a 33
Thank you to all who have replied so far!
I find it odd why you’re taking College Algebra and AP Calc BC at the same time… you should’ve been able to test into trig or precal.
GaTech is a match
I got a 36 on the reading section so superscored I am now at a 34, although my highest math is still a 30. Will that help me if I get deferred to regular?
Better should help you either way. You should call the GT admissions office to let them know that you have improved your test scores and confirm that they have received them
@TooOld4School Thanks for the advice. It is passed the document deadline for early action but I’ll still let them know just in case.
I think you have a pretty good shot, good luck!
