chance of rescind? UCLA

Hey everyone, so today I got accepted into UCLA political science, but I have a dilemma. This spring semester I dropped “Sociology 14 Marriage and Family” before the semester started. I also recently (past 3 weeks) dropped my “Speech 1A Honors” class because my family was having problems and I needed more time at home to help settle things. As a result of dropping this class, I am unable to fulfill my TAP certification since this was the honors class I needed.

I know I need to submit an update on the UCLA website, but I was just wondering what do you guys think of my chances of being rescinded because of these classes. Neither of these classes are in any way requirements for my major or igetc, etc. I am worried about being rescinded due to the fact that I could not fulfill my TAP.

We cannot tell you. What’s your GPA? I guess it really just comes down to that, more or less.

My GPA is 3.6, I know, but I just wanted to hear some opinions.

Well, it’s a bit lower than competitive, but not horribly lower. Just make sure you have a strong explanation about the family problems. It could go either way. But I think a good explanation will go a long way.
