Thanks so much for chancing and I will chance back as well.

i’d say a match for early admissions.

however, since you missed it…

don’t be surprised if you get deferred or wait-listed. i’m almost 100% sure you’ll get in RD but since you don’t have priority there is that chance.

oooo mmmmmm, i dont know. OOS?

OP says he’s from FL

I forget to put my rank…46/380, top 13%…sigh
And I am Asian

Asian yessssss xd. You are in!

I’d say match.

bump bumpppp

Slight reach because you missed the deadline.

Yeah, missing the deadline will hurt. I remember someone with a near perfect GPA and 34 ACT got WLed last year because he applied so late.

wow that sucks…I hope I am not applying too late.

same here, I know countless of ppl with high GPAs who got waitlisted and rejected

damn, that seems like it should be a crime; 34 act 3.9+ GPA and waitlisted at a PUBLIC SCHOOL. I know it is Michigan but it seems like that is just ridiculous. does anyone know how many ER applicants there are???

Considering you are OOS and applied for Regular Decision, I think that it hurt your chances tremendously. Where as before I would almost certainly think you are admitted, I think this might be a slight reach. As others have said, it takes almost perfect stats to get in RD and OOS.

@MechiganBoy:

There are drastically lower pool of applicants during ED than RD. At the same time, give the admissions officers extra time to evaluate your application shows that you are very interested in going to Michigan. Also, since Michigan has a rolling admissions policy, the more admits granted, the less accepted. That is why as time goes on, more rejections occur, even though ppl have perfect gpas and test scores, because Michigan simply does not have enough room for those ppl to attend.

Yeah I understand what you’re saying. It is just crazy to think that those people might be rejected.

Thanks MI2014.
I hear that even if I get in, UM will cost a lot because of the economy right now and budget cuts at the university AND cause I am OOS.

^I’ve been thinking that might make an OOS more appealing considering they would be paying 3 times as much
