Honestly, I think it's going to be tough for you. ED will help, butUF is getting tougher every year. I know a lot of students with decent grades (As and Bs) in honors w/ some AP classes, test scores about equal to yours, and pretty good ECs who were waitlisted or were admitted on the condition that they would start in the summer, even though they applied for fall. Good luck!

It's all well and good that you've seen people with honors and AP miss out or almost miss out, but the IB program in Florida is a whole different ballgame. It's not guaranteed, obviously, but your chances for getting in are pretty good. Most IB students also have had a full load of AP classes (.1 added to GPA each) and a full load of IB classes, of course (also .1). In reality, you can't compare most high school curricula to anything in the IB program...high school in the US is a bit of a joke.

Also, UF is really big on IB students (has the most of any other university, I believe), so they recognize the value of it as much as I do. Don't bet the farm on it, but don't write your death sentence quite yet either.
