Chance please =)

Hi I'm a junior, entering my senior year in high school. I was wondering if I have a chance at Rutgers.

Cumulative GPA: 3.4
SAT: 1670
Critical reading + Math= 1120

E.C.-volunteer at library for past 3 years, selected in Executive Volunteer Association
founder of a club at my school
officer of a second club at our school
track and field athlete
in school band for 4 years now, entering wind ensemble as a bassoonist.

I appreciate the help.

depends on what major but the key thing is to apply early. I applied first week app came out 2 years ago and i was accepted following week.

Pharmacy, nursing and maybe engineering are out of reach. SAS and SEBS you have a chance. If you don’t get into whatever school you want in rutgers you can always transfer from school to school as long as you do good in your classes

i’m trying for computer engineering, maybe switch to pyschology…not sure exactly. but i’m trying to get my SAT score up near the 2000s. do you think that will give me a greater chance to get in?

Yes.

Do practice SATs tests (timed) and sign up at College Boards for SAT Question of the Day.

yea bringing up your SAT will most likely get in. Just make sure you get A’s and B’s senior year to boost your GPA

Since rising seniors are applying in the beginning of senior year, how exactly will getting As and Bs in senior year help?

They check your grades from the first 2 quarters of your senior year. The grade you get does not reflect on your GPA, but it does tell the school something about you.
