Chance... please? :)

<p>I'm hoping you guys can chance me. I'm very interested in UCSD, and I am applying Undeclared in the Social Sciences. I am submitting my application this weekend, so cross your fingers for me! I do have quite a few things that aren't very good on my application.</p>

<p>I'd say you're pretty much in. Assuming your essays are good, the only negative part of your app are the SAT scores. Factor in UCSD's 90% admittance rate of ELC students and yeah..</p>

<p>If you figure out your UC GPA then it would be a more accurate comparison since UCSD releases UC GPA's of admitted students.</p>

<p>By UC GPA, do you mean calculating only the A-G courses and following the process that they listed on their website? That's what I did, but maybe I'm mistaken.</p>

<p>But, thhank you for replying. :) Since the admissions process is numbers-driven, my SAT Reasoning would be completely disregarded due to my ACT... right?</p>

<p>Oh, if that's your UC GPA then that's good for you -- you're a good 0.2 above the average and your ACT score, which I overlooked, is higher than the average of 28.</p>

<p>So your chances are even better than I first predicted, but beware; a few people I know with higher GPA/test scores got rejected last year. That's just how admissions work.</p>

<p>i think your choice of a rigorous sr year will def help..like StanEda said, you <em>should</em> get in, but take that with grain of salt, anything can happen</p>
