Northeastern U --is this worth it?</p>
<p>stats:
SAT- cr 610, w 650, m 670 (i've only taken it once so far)
taking subject tests later this year
GPA - unweighted 3.6; weighted 3.8</p>
<p>ec's:
jsa debate club - 9
jv tennis - 10, 11
international awareness club - 11
red cross - 11
viking volunteers -11
volunteered as tennis instructor (66 hrs)
various other volunteer records (about 35 hours)</p>
<p>took a lot of honors and quite a lot of AP's (by senior year, i will have taken 9)</p>
<p>Re: Northeastern being worth it, your SAT scores are below the average for admitted students. Your GPA is about their average. Unless you can bring up those scores, Northeastern would be at best a match and definitely not a safety.</p>
<p>I agree, Northeastern is a match at best certainly not a safety. GW and the other schools i think are on the same level of playing field in terms of acceptances. You have a lot of match schools but no safeties.</p>
<p>I’m no expert, but I think you’d need to raise your SAT scores by 100-200 points to stand a reasonable chance. I think right now you’re borderline reach/match for most of these.</p>
<p>Also, I don’t think it will help you to list debate club as an EC since you only did it in 9th grade.</p>
