BE HONEST

since i put this exact same thing on the University of Rochester page, it says U of R. But I really am interested in JHU too.

ED - accepted
RD - rejected

are you for real? I always thought that I had slim to no chance of getting into JHU, but if I could ED then that would change things… I’d love to go if ED is for real

Absolutely - you’ll have a chance ED. Don’t downplay the value that Hopkins places on ED - the acceptance rate is near 50%. They love students that love them - that commitment matters. RD is something like 15-18-% so that’s borderline impossible. What do you wanna study and where are you from?

i’m pretty sure i want to do economics, but i’ve changed my mind so much. At this point I’m all but certain and I’m from northern NJ

In my opinion, I think that being from an OVER-represented state (CA, NJ, NY, MD, TX, IL, PA) makes an even STRONGER case that you should go ED. Those are the states that the most selective colleges get way too many applications from so ED will give you better chances if you’re from one of those states. GL
