<p>Anyhow, being an international helps. But you need to demonstrate why Colgate is a good match for you. If you’re passionate about economics as your profile suggests, be sure to play it up in your essays. Colgate looks for those kind of students who can bring energy to campus.</p>

<p>Is it the Kaluga which was the home of Georgy Zhukov, Russian general? (I teach history!) I think you have very good grades and scores, and your interest in business and economics is a strong positive factor. The fact that you are an international student from Russia may also be very appealing to the Admissions people at Colgate, too. I think you have a good chance of being admitted, depending on various factors, of course, such as your essay, recommendation letters, and so forth. Good luck with your application to Colgate!
