chance to UCB?

3.48 Transferable GPA as of now, will hopefully rise to 3.65 by end of this Fall. All courses were taken at California City Colleges

I'm applying to UC Berkeley for Mass Comm, I've got two more pre-requisites left and I will be taking one during the winter and the other during the spring. IGETC is pretty much done except for maybe one class in the social/behavioral sciences. EC's and Work Experience are pretty good, I'm preparing to write a stellar essay. On the downside, I've got a GED in lieu of a diploma.

with that being said, I know UCB is a very hard school to get into. My counselor says I've got a decent chance, can someone be honest and tell me what my chances of getting into Berkeley really are?

GPA is a bit low. It doesn't particularly matter when you complete your prereqs, or IGETC requirements as long as you complete them by Spring. And UCB, or any UC for that matter, do not look at your high school transcripts, so the GED does not matter.

3.6 is gud enough!

My wife was accepted to Berkeley for fall 2007 and she has a G.E.D. Don't worry you will be o.k.

lol, I've mentioned this before, but a good friend of mine who dropped out of high school was accepted into berkeley after just one year at de anza. He got in on appeal though for what its worth...but the point is that HS doesn't really factor in at this stage.
