<p>So, I have a friend who is applying to the U of M for Fall 2012. </p>
<p>His credentials
- 3.95 GPA
- Top 8% class rank as of now
- PSEO Student at the University of Minnesota (taking classes there)
- Applying to CEHD (Business + Marketing) and CLA (Political Science)
- ACT is a 23, which is his weakest part of application.
- First Generation
- Instate
- Applied last week. The earliest will be Dec 15th because of his PSEO status</p>
<p>I believe he will get into CEHD, but his ACT may hurt him for CLA.</p>
<p>It’s iffy. Have him take the ACT/SAT again. Since the U of M doesn’t look at essays or recommendations, he needs to get that number up.</p>
<p>He can’t because there isn’t any more dates except the Dec, which is too late. CEHD average ACT is 24.4 so hopefully he gets accepted to it. His PSEO grades at the U will most likely be all As, so hopefully that helps as well. Thanks!</p>
