SCHOOLS-Applying to all for either Electrical Engineering or Computer Engineering (I know I need to cut the list please help me replace with more attainable schools :))
-Your SAT is a reach for many of these colleges, except for Rutgers and maybe UMD-CP
-You should ED (maybe EA) if you can think of a certain school you really want to be in (can you imagine yourself being on the East Coast in the Northeast or down South?)
-Along with your SAT, your GPA will be a reach for most of these schools
-EC’s are good, but if you’re applying for Cornell and Duke, you can expect extremely stiff competition from students w/ the same qualities that you have.
-For your list, I would cut out at least two UC’s and either Duke or Cornell. Replace them with safety schools that have your major.
-So far, your best chance is Rutgers (I live 40 minutes away from there) and they have a pretty high admissions rate.
I can’t speak for the other schools as I don’t know enough about them, but for Purdue, you’re almost a shoo-in, I think. Could be considered a safety school and it’s a great school for your majors.
Anyway, you’ve gotta narrow down that list man. There’s a HUGE difference between UCLA and Purdue and George Tech. They are so vastly different and I think you’re just throwing them all in a group because of your majors but you need to ask yourself would you be willing to actually go there? Are you ok with living in LA? Or do you want the small town of W. Lafayette for Purdue? You should identify what you like in schools. Have you been on any visits? What did you like about the schools you visited? Large, small, public, private, secular, religious, big town, small town.
Once you’ve got a better idea on what kind of place you want to be in, you’ll find it much easier to realistically get your chances for those schools.
Really like the devotion to Taekwondo! Duke, Cornell, NW are the main reaches, but the Californias are all set and Ga Tech as well (esp bc you’re a girl)
GREAT SAT IIs, but your CR SAT I especially is weighing you down. If you’ve time to retake, you could, but your maths is solid – obviously, great for engineering
Since you’re set on engineering, I’d suggest looking at the school’s with ENGINEERING ranks, not the OVERALL ranks. Tech for example is top 10 engineering but 30-something nationally because of its humanities
